Course

The Duration of the course is two years.

B.Ed – First Year:-

There are 9 theory papers. Regarding  School Internship of 4 weeks will be arranged in recognized high / higher secondary, matriculation / matriculation higher secondary schools.

B.Ed – Second Year:-

There are 7 theory papers. Regarding  School Internship of 16 weeks will be arranged in recognized high / higher secondary, matriculation / matriculation higher secondary schools.

               1. School Internship (4 Weeks)

(Allotment of schools for school Internship for student – teachers are subject to prior approval from the concerned District Educational authorities. The Principals of the Colleges of Education have to submit the school the School Internship Schedule to the Tamilnadu Teachers Education University)

– Observation of Mentor Classes Level – I & Level – II

– Identifying and Analysing the Diverse

– Exploring and preparing Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) for Level – I & Level II

– Reflections in Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) practiced in Co – operative schools

– Assessing and reporting on the Environment context of Co-operative Schools

– Organisation of Study Circles/Science Clubs/Forums with respect to the nature of basic subject of student – teachers

Course wise Tasks and Assignments are to be submitted in the form of separate Records at the Practical Examinations

However, the basis of selection shall be in accordance with the regulations of the University/ Government of Tamil Nadu Guidelines and norms of the college for admission to B.Ed. course in force from time to time.

The candidates should have passed the UG degree Examination in the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 stream, with the main subject in Part III for which she is seeking admission in the B.Ed. College.

The candidates who have taken more than one main subjects in Part II (Double or Triple Major) of the UG Degree have to choose only one of the main subjects and apply that optional in B.Ed.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the university.

ADMISSION

The candidates selected for provisional admission will be informed by a letter sent to the address given by the candidates in the application. The Institution is not responsible for any Postal delay or loss in transit.

Candidates called for Provisional admission have to report at the specified time and date with all the certificates in original and must be ready to remit the college fees as directed. The selection of the candidates will be cancelled if she fails (I) to report at the specified time and date (II) to bring all the certificates in original (III) to remit the college fees as directed and (1V) if there is any discrepancy in the application and the originals.

The Principal takes no responsibility for returning any original certificates or testimonials which are sent before the applicant is provisionally selected to undergo the course. Those who discontinue the B.Ed. course after admission will not be admitted to the College again. PHYSICAL FITNESS Candidates have to submit a certificate of Physical fitness from a Registered Medical Practioners. This should be sent with the Application form.

Fee structure

Candidates selected for the programme shall pay the prescribed fees not later than the date mentioned in the admission letter.
